Mark Biviano

Managing Partner

Mark Biviano is currently a partner at Trace Strategies, a political and business consulting firm. Mark, a native Arkansan, graduated from University of Arkansas with a degree in Finance. He has over 25 years of experience as a Fortune 50 corporate executive with extensive global and international business experience, serving as Vice President of Global Health for both Oracle and SAP. He also served two terms as an Arkansas State Representative to District 46. In his first term in the Arkansas House, Biviano served as the first Republican Chairman of the Freshman Caucus in Arkansas history and as the Policy Director for the House Republican Party.

As Policy Director he was responsible for strategy and leadership of the legislative agenda including leading the effort for the SIMPLE Plan during the 2012 session. Mr. Biviano was the sponsor for groundbreaking legislation in Arkansas that included the Private Option, and legislation establishing a not-for-profit state insurance exchange.

Mr. Biviano served as SAP’s Vice President of Global Healthcare Industry Business Unit where he was responsible for industry leadership and management in the development, design and deployment of healthcare solutions serving the insurance, provider and government markets. These included industry requirements, partner strategy, and go-to marketing plans that required support of all field training, and packaging on a global basis. He developed and articulated SAP’s key positioning and strategies to the healthcare community while serving as the industry business unit’s senior healthcare executive. He was responsible for driving all sales enablement and marketing programs, strategy, customer programs, thought leadership, press and analyst activities.

As Oracle’s Vice President Healthcare Solutions he was responsible for the strategic health initiatives including the startup and expansion of the Oracle vertical model to the US Health Market for payers, providers, and government markets. This included the creation and promotion of the Oracle healthcare value proposition and solution footprint to identify new revenue opportunities. He provided leadership and industry expertise, application functional knowledge, and strategic direction to the Oracle’s healthcare vertical and development groups.
